MASTER OF ARTS (MATHEMATICS )

A Master of Arts (MA) in Mathematics is a two-year postgraduate program that helps students develop their analytical and mathematical skills. The program covers topics such as:

  • Linear algebra
  • Partial differential equations
  • Modern algebra
  • Differential geometry
  • Elements of general topology
  • Computer programming
  • Numerical analysis
  • Continuum mechanics
  • Ordinary differential equations

    The course syllabus may vary by university, but some common subjects include: Operations research, Complex analysis and real analysis, Principles of mechanics, and Special functions. 

    The program is divided into four semesters, with exams held twice a year. There are both theoretical and practical examinations, with each receiving a separate weightage.
